Illuminating Kerosene (paraffin) is a versatile combustible liquid commonly used for domestic heating, cooking, and lighting. It also serves as a solvent in various industrial applications. 

The following are the parameters set by the Kenya Bureau of Standards for Kerosene sold in Kenya:

  • It must have a density @ 20 degrees centigrade in Kg/m3 of between 771-830.
  • Sulphur content of 0.15% maximum.
